The Khatu Shyam Ji Falgun Lakhi Mela is an annual festival held in Khatu, Rajasthan

Significance and History of Khatu Shyam Ji
The festival commemorates the legend of Barbarik, a devout warrior and grandson of Bhima from the Mahabharata. According to the legend, Barbarik sacrificed his head to Lord Krishna on Dwadashi (the twelfth day) of Shukla Paksha (waxing phase) in the month of Falgun. Impressed by his devotion, Lord Krishna blessed him to be worshiped as Shyam in the Kali Yuga. The mela is held every year during this period to honor his sacrifice and devotion.
